John J. D'Amico - Founder of Norman Lamps, Inc.
Before beginning his career at Drake Manufacturing Company in 1955, John J. D’Amico attended Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois. He worked his way up from warehouse laborer at Drake to top salesman.
In 1975, three years after Chicago Miniature acquired Drake, John founded Micro Lamps, Inc in the small, rural town of La Fox, Illinois. Along with his partner, Roger Narimatsu, John helped build Micro Lamps, Inc. into a thriving business. In 1983, John sold his share of the company and began what was to be a short-lived retirement in Tucson, Arizona. But his passion and calling were in the lighting business, and in 1985, he founded a new company called Norman Lamps, Inc. The new company was located in West Chicago, Illinois.

Daniel J. D'Amico - President
Daniel is the eldest son of John D’Amico and has been at Norman Lamps since the beginning in 1985. Daniel attended the University of Arizona in Tucson and studied business administration and marketing. In 1985 he joined his father and began working at Norman Lamps. Daniel has been with the company for 24 years and currently heads our Marketing Department and New Product Development.
Michael P. D'Amico - Vice President
Michael is John D’Amico’s second son to join the company. He joined Norman Lamps in 1992. Over the past 17 years, Michael has been instrumental in the growth and operations of the company. He currently heads domestic sales and international purchasing.
John "Ed" D'Amico - Vice President
John Jr. is the third son to join the company. In 1996, after graduating from Northern Illinois University with a degree in accounting, John Jr. joined Norman Lamps. For over ten years, he has applied his knowledge in accounting and lighting to all aspects of company management and growth. John Jr. is a valuable asset to the entire customer base as well as to the internal workings of the company.
Ken Herda - Vice President
Ken joined Norman Lamps in 1999 after graduating from Northern Illinois University with a degree in marketing. Ken has quickly become knowledgeable in many areas of lighting, especially fluorescents, H.I.D., and large lamps. Over the past seven years, Ken has become a valuable asset to the company as he applies his marketing strategies in fresh new directions. Currently Ken heads inside sales and domestic purchasing for the company.
Keith Grieshaber - Sales Manager
Keith joined Norman Lamps in 2001 as shipping and warehouse manager. Within a few short years, he gained much knowledge and insight into the workings of the lighting industry. Keith was quickly offered a sales position and became a leading salesman in the company. He now assists in many aspects of its operation. Keith graduated from Eastern Illinois University.
